Clare Medical Centre is not a bulk billing practice and all patients will be required to pay in full.
All claims are sent directly to Medicare Online following full payment on the day of consult.
Recieving your Medicare rebate:
- Direct Deposit - Lodge your bank details with Medicare. The rebate will go directly into nominated account overnight.
- Eziclaim -Rebate will go directly into savings or cheque account. Patients must have EFTPOS card and current pin (Personal Identification Number) code to authorise transaction.
Medicare ceased posting Medicare Cheques to patients in July 2016. Patients will need to do either of the above to recieve their rebates, failure to do so will result in the patients missing out of their refunds from Medicare.
Services covered 100% by Medicare (Bulk Billed)
Children under 16 years, and High School students providing a current Student ID Card.
Mental Health Care Plans, Aged Health Assessments, Care Plans and Medication Reviews following Pharmacy Home Visit.
Concession Card Holders
All Concessions Card Holder are required to pay for their consults on the day, although all consults will be charged at a discounted rate.
Eligible to claim if an Australian residents and do not leave Australia for more than 13 weeks at a time, not receiving social security benefits, or a service pension or of age pension age.
Available to self-funded retirees who are: Australian residents, and do not leave Australia for more than 13 weeks at a time,not receiving social security benefits, or a service pension.
All Accounts can be paid either by cash, cheque or EFTPOS.
Who is eligible? Veterans, Current Serving Members, Family, Carers and Former Serving Members.
Gold card - Bulk Billed
White card - will be Bulk Billed if applicable.
GP Specialist Services
Anaesthetic, Obstetric and Procedural Services are all seen as a specialist service and there will be a gap to pay for these consults. This type of appointment is not Bulk Billed.
Out of town patients, patients visiting from Overseas and patients without a Medicare card are to pay in full on the day.
Outpatient services are not bulk billed. All patients will recieve an account in the mail the following week, reception will transmit the claim to medicare on the patients behalf. The Medicare Cheque and Gap needs to be forwarded to the Medical Centre in a timely manner.
Out of Towners, Overseas Patients or Without a Medicare Card
Must pay for all consults in full on the day and will be given receipts to lodge a claim with Medicare or Insurance Company.
Accounts outstanding more than 90 days, may be sent to the Debt Collector, unless contact is made with the Finance Department.
