Maternity

Clare Medical Centre offers a comprehensive range of maternity Services.

Obstetric Doctors

We have 5 obstetric doctors who can care for you through your pregnancy.

Whilst we don’t offer a specific private service, every effort is made to ensure your chosen doctor is involved in your birth care.

There are times when doctors will be on leave and may need to hand your care to another doctor. This will be discussed with you should the situation arise.

Wednesday Midwifery Clinics

The Clare Hospital Midwives conduct regular clinics each Wednesday and appointments can be made in conjunction with your Doctor's appointment.

The initial consult with the Midwife will be 1 hour, every visit following that will be 30mins. Patients will also have a tour of the hospital closer to their delivery date. There is no cost associated with seeing the Midwife.

As a guide, Antenatal visits are recommended at:

  • 8 -12, 16, 20, 24 weeks
