Clare Medical Centre will be temporarily pausing its involvement in the Emergency services at Clare Hospital for a period of four weeks, effective from Monday 22nd September until Sunday 19th October 2025.
Please be assured patients can still attend Clare Hospital Emergency and be seen by a GP during this period. SA Health will ensure there is a GP on call at all times for emergencies. This temporary change is necessary due to critical staffing shortages.
During this time, the safety and wellbeing of our community remain our highest priority. The Clare Medical Centre will continue to operate as normal. Clare Medical Centre doctors will also continue to provide anaesthetic and obstetric services at Clare Hospital during this period.
We understand this may cause some inconvenience and appreciate the community’s understanding while we take these necessary steps to maintain safe and sustainable care. At this stage, Clare Medical Centre plan to resume involvement in the Emergency services at Clare Hospital from Monday 20th October 2025.
